A physically challenging tour that will reward you with the best views of the northern coastline of Mykonos.
In this tour, we will cycle up the mountain on a paved route in order to reach the wind turbine, from where we can enjoy the most amazing view over the northern coastal line. For those who can handle the extreme, but thankfully short, subsequent inclines, this is one of the most scenic rides. The breathtaking natural landscapes, as viewed from the mountainside, promise a delightful, but very challenging, cycling tour. Its technical characteristics: extensive climbing, steep inclines and a rough and loose gravel road (that you will partly need to walk) all the way down the mountain. Yet the route is very scenic and the beaches of Myrsini and Fokos will soothe you with their inviting blue waters. As we return from a different route, we pass by the reservoir of Ano Mera and stop at a family-owned church for an insight into our religious tradition.
Optionally: beach shoes (to feel more comfortable walking on pebbles), goggles
Ideally: reusable bottles for us to fill them with cold water, avoiding the use of plastic single-use and environmentally unfriendly bottles
