HIGHLIGHTS
- Walk through the picturesque villages of Potamia
- Discover two Byzantine chapels
- Marvel at the Venetian tower
If you are an enthusiast of local flavors and the Mediterranean cuisine, this tour is for you. Naxos is famous for its gastronomy and even grows some of its fruits in its fertile midst. In this tour, you will walk in the area of Potamia, through beautiful gardens full of fruit-bearing trees, and you will see for yourself what ‘farm to fork’ really means, rediscovering man’s intricate dependence on nature for sustenance, far from the mechanics of mass production. On the way, you will discover the Byzantine tower of Kokkos, two Byzantine chapels, an old watermill and you will learn about the Venetian towers that dominate the scenery of Naxos. Our tour will conclude with a local treat in a traditional coffee shop.
